A lecture on the politics and aesthetics of New York’s underground queer and trans rave scene.
In this lecture, McKenzie Wark sets out the contours for a political theory of the rave. Drawing on her experiences in New York's queer and trans underground rave scene, Wark explores the aesthetics of trance music, drugs, light and darkness, and the attendant politics of visibility and invisibility.
