Schaeffer Fine Arts Library item featuring in Venice Architecture Biennale
A rare item from the Schaeffer Library collection has been featured in the Harry Seidler & Associates exhibition at the Venice Architecture Biennale, running until 13 July at the Procuratie Vecchie, Venice. Curated by the Chau Chak Wing Museum, the exhibition surveys eight decades of Seidler’s life and work. The exhibition is co-curated by Dr Ann Stephen and Dr Paolo Stracchi.
On loan from the library is Interaction of Colour by Josef Albers, a key influence on Seidler’s design philosophy. The item will be displayed alongside works from major institutions including the National Gallery of Australia, State Library of NSW, and the Powerhouse Museum, highlighting the library’s role in supporting international cultural scholarship.
